:: Indiana Chapter 7 2006 Fall Tillage Weekend ::

Thanks from Our Hosts
The Thieme and Gatewood families want to thank everyone for a great Fall Tillage
Weekend. Our attendance for this event was wonderful. The weather was perfect
as Mary and Marsha promised. About 300 acres were plowed. We all were
hoping for one mile of tractors but didn't quite reach our goal. But it was a great
day!
Our guest celebrity was Ruppert from Survivor. He shook hands and signed
autographs. We passed a bucket for donations to help Ruppert's Kids. Thanks to
everyone, $300 was collected for such a worthy cause. Our church Trinity
Methodist sold food and collected $636 for their mission work. Dawn Dieckmann
had great crafts for the ladies to make. The day ended with a bonfire. We all
roasted hot dogs and enjoyed a wonderful pitch-in supper.
Wilson Gatewood donated a 560 Diesel Utility model tractor and it was won by
George Dorsey, from Windsor, Maryland. Marsha Thieme donated an apron she
made and Mary McCullar won it. It certainly was a weekend to remember. Thanks
to all of you!

Indiana Chapter 7's Fall Tillage Weekend was held at the Marty Thieme and
Wilson Gatewood farms in Noblesville, Indiana on October 7 and 8.
Chapter members and non-members brought 80 tractors, pulling a combined
total of 236 plow bottoms, plowing a swath 320 feet wide. Though short of our
goal of one mile of International equipment, the line of equipment did stretch to
2940 feet. IH collectors traveled from as far as Iowa and Maryland to attend.
